Karlovy Vary - Opening of the Spa Season 2012
 Get ready for the Spa Season Grand Opening in Karlovy Vary. A traditional annual event held Friday, May 4 to Sunday, May 6, 2012. Saturday, May 5 offers a rich cultural program including consecration of springs, various concerts, a medieval parade of Charles IV (the founder of Karlovy Vary) in historic costumes and fireworks.  Did you know that you already speak some Czech? Just say the following words and you’re speaking Czech at the same time. These words have very similar pronunciation, but different meaning. Czech isn’t that difficult as it may seem, is it?
Lock (lok-written in Czech) = gulp (English Translation of "lok"), slope (sloup) = post, stool (stůl) = table, den (den) = day, doom (dům) = house, book (buk) = beech, sin (syn) = son, list (list) = leaf, look (luk) = bow, beak (býk) = bull, chin (čin) = act, soup (sup) = vulture, plot (plot) = fence, chest (čest) = honour, clean (klín) = lap, less (les) = forest and many others!
