Tour overview
This trip takes us to the town of Loket (elbow in English), named after the extreme bend in Ohře river. The main attraction of this beautiful town (pop 3,200) is its castle (Romanesque-Gothic) built in the first half of the 13th century. You can visit for example a torture chamber and climb a Romanesque tower. Watch out for the Loket Dragon (supposedly of a friendly nature though). The view of the medieval town from there is well worth it. There is an open-air theatre bellow the castle, where a lot of cultural happenings take place during summer. There was an outstanding Jethro Tull concert in 2008 with their music found the most suitable for the castle surroundings as yet.

Our next stop is a remarkable stone observation tower at Krásno Hill, above the town of Krásno (pop 700). We will walk about a kilometer to reach it. The tower was built by the locals to avoid unemployment during the great depression in the1930´s. The Krásno Museum also called Vilém Tin Mine Facility (open March through November) offers a very interesting exhibit to see.

After getting back you will explore K.V. on your own. We provide all necessary info and a spa drinking cup so you can sample at least one of the springs if not all.
